Can You Depend On Plant Based Foods Only?
Plant-based nutrition is any diet that contains fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains. Its benefits are most effective when consumed in its most natural form. It has been argued that our gastrointestinal system is not designed to cope with an animal-based diet without long-term health complications. It is not surprising to see that unhealthy eating habits have contributed to most of the life-threatening illnesses that are claiming lots of lives.
Nutrition is a big part of our lives and determines our well being. Many of the chronic diseases like cardiovascular disease and some cancer can be prevented or reversed. The global or national economy does not make it easy for people especially families to implement the healthy plant-based diet.
The plant-based diet helps eradicate most cardiovascular related diseases, autoimmune diseases, type 2 diabetes, insomnia, allergies, weight loss, skin allergies, digestive related issues, and inflamed bladder. It also improves the body's ability to heal, lowers cholesterol and blood pressure.
We can choose how we eat and what we believe is true or we can try and experience for ourselves how we feel after a trial period of on a plant-based based diet. Introducing the PB diet gradually can help towards altering our dependency on over-processed and unhealthy nutrition which contribute to some of the chronic diseases that we suffer.

Personally, I believe in reducing the consumption of certain foods that we seem to consume in high proportions especially meat and high-sugar drinks. Whichever route or decision one takes should promote preventive approach to health and well being. I will not doubt that transitioning from an animal-based diet to plant-based will be challenging, but I will take my time and monitor my progress with regular medical check-ups. It is absolutely your choice to choose an exclusive plant-based diet if you are up to that sort of radical change.
